My Love Affair with Latisse

Allergan, the drug maker that brought us Botox is at it again! The company has a new FDA-approved drug called Latisse that can be used to grow longer, lusher eyelashes.

At around week three or four I started to see the first really long ones. I began using Latisse around seven weeks ago. Every once and awhile I missed a night but my results are truly amazing. My boyfriend always had really long lashes but now he can’t stop commenting that mine are longer and thicker than his.

As far as side effects go. I have dark eyes so I can’t comment on the (slight) possibility of blue eyes turning brown but I can tell you that the only thing that happened was that my eyes itched just a tiny bit for the first day. After that I didn’t notice anything.

Latisse contains the same prostaglandin analog that is found in Allergan’s Lumigan, an eye drop treatment for glaucoma. Latisse just might be the biggest thing to hit the cosmetic medicine market since well—uh— Botox!

Welcome Our New Blog!

Welcome! As many of you may know, I do a monthly newsletter for Renew Medspa Anti-Aging & Aesthetic Medicine . It’s been a great tool to connect with our clients and it’s always fun to hear their feedback when I see them at the spa. So, we’ve decided to do one better. Why not have a forum where we can continue to educate and inform, but offering you the chance to share feedback and questions with us (and better yet, each other!) anytime you want. Myself and the girls at the spa will regularly chime in, so feel free to direct your comments/questions to any of us. With that, welcome to my first ever foray into blogging. I look forward to your comments…
